Autorenporträt
Yvonne E. Cooper has been an educator for more than two decades in the public, private, and Charter school sectors. She has worked as a classroom teacher and administrator in New York, Chicago, and presently holds the position of Dean of Instruction in the Dallas area. She has worked as an Assistant Instructional Principal for a K-8 Charter school in New York. She has served as one of Victory's founding teachers at long Island's first charter school. She also has experience as an Adult Literacy Teacher, Title I Teacher, and Regional Staff Developer where she coached and provided workshops for teachers in the Chicago International Charter School organization. Some of her other roles include Primary Team Leader, and Curriculum Instruction Specialist where she helped to design curriculum for Primary students in an effort to promote student learning and achievement. In 2002 was nominated for the Disney Teacher of the Year award. Mrs. Cooper holds a Master's Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Touro College in New York, and also received a Certificate of Advanced Studies from National Louis University in Educational Leadership and Supervision. As a life-long learner, Mrs. Cooper believes that all students should be motivated to do their very best in school.
