The students read only the words they study, and at the same time learn Cyrillic letters. There are more explanations about reading in this book. The Teacher's Book for the first level of "Russian for Kids Soroka" contains all of the explanations for concepts and answers to assignments from Activity Book, and complements a Student's Book and an Activity Book. "Russian for Kids Soroka" was created for children ages 7 through 9 who are learning Russian for the first time. This course is suitable for speakers of all languages. There are 3 levels in this course. Each of the three levels has a Student's Book, Activity Book and Teacher's Book that complement each other.

Marianna Avery is a professional Russian translator and instructor that enjoys teaching Russian to children. As a Russian native speaker and naturalized US citizen, Marianna has performed translation services for international projects and in business environments. She began to share her love of her native language through teaching others, and discovered she was especially passionate about teaching children. In her early experience teaching American children, she realized Russian textbooks were not suited to them. Her book "Soroka. Russian for Kids" is the result of her commitment to create a Russian language learning experience tailored to young American students.
