Autorenporträt
Violet T. Kimball is a self-described "trail nut" who has traveled and photographed all three major overland pioneer trails. As a freelance writer and photographer since 1970, she has written for dozens of local and national publications on topics as diverse as history, quilting, beauty, farming, stamps, and travel. Her first book, The Mormon Trail: Voyage of Discovery (KC Publications), was published in 1995. She also sings opera and is active in community concerts, choirs, and theater. She resides in Glen Carbon, Illinois, with her husband Stanley.
