Jacquelyn Chovanes, PhD is an associate professor of special education and the coordinator of the MEd in Special Education program at Shippensburg University. She has published and presented on topics in structured literacy, teacher preparation, sexuality education for students with disabilities, and social and positive behavioral interventions. Emily Sharp, PhD is an assistant professor of special education at Penn State University, who has published and presented on topics in structured literacy, teacher preparation, and mathematics instruction. She is an experienced structured literacy practitioner, professional developer, and trainer. She holds structured literacy dyslexia specialist certification from the Center for Effective Reading Instruction and structured literacy teacher and teacher trainer certificates from the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council.
