This is particularly true for those serving in leadership capacities because work, life, and leading seem to be more stressful than ever. This stress is being felt in every industry/organization and at every level. As a result, leaders are feeling more pressure to keep everything together, which causes even more stress, frustration, and burnout. The cycle is unhealthy, and we all know that when leaders are not socially and emotionally healthy, they do not lead effectively or achieve meaningful results. This book provides leaders (and we are all leaders in some manner) with guidance, support, and hope. The 30 Day Challenge format builds upon an SEL model that has proven to be effective for over 30 years. Researchers have found that Social-Emotional Learning actually improves a variety of outcomes for both children and adults (Casel, 2020).
