This teacher's Resource Pack complements and extends the material presented in the Students' Book. It contains
- an introductory Course Manager, which provides an informative survey of aims, themes, and appropriate teaching strategies, so that teachers can gear the sequence of texts to the specific needs of any given course;
- a collection of Teaching Resources, which offer detailed analyses of the texts and pictures, background information about the cultural contexts, cross-references pointing to relations between the individual texts, and suggestions as to further reading, relevant films and useful websites;
- a CD-ROM with video clips, audio texts, picture series, cartoons, 22 information sheets that can be printed out for group work or independent study. In addition, there are thematically relevant word lists and a comprehensive hypertext Reference Library, which can be distributed in the learning group or printed out as required. This gives students the information necessary for successful competence training.
Together the Students' Book and the Resource Pack provide all the material to help students gain a deeper and broader understanding of the complex nature of the relationship between technology and the environment, while offering them ample opportunity to discuss how opposing views can be reconciled.
