Ian Fleming

Ian Fleming ist der weltberühmte Autor und Erfinder von James Bond. Er wurde 1908 in London geboren und starb 1964 in Canterbury. Er studierte Sprachen und Psychologie an verschiedenen europäischen Universitäten und schrieb zu der Zeit schon erste Kurzgeschichten. Nach seinen Studien arbeitete er zunächst als Korrespondent für verschiedene Nachrichtagenturen.
1939 wurde Ian Fleming Spion im Dienste seiner Majestät und arbeitete sich schnell zum Assistenten des Direktors hoch. Nach dem Krieg arbeitete er wieder als Journalist und verfasste 1953 seinen ersten James-Bond-Roman Casino Royale.
Fleming verfasste bis zu seinem Tod zwölf Bond-Romane und neun Kurzgeschichten, die in 23 Sprachen übersetzt wurden.
