A Girl Made of Dust. Nathalie ABI-Ezzi

gut

It's a story about an 8 year old girl called Ruba who lives in a small village in Lebanon, just out of Beirut. The story takes place in the 1980s during the lebanese civil war.
I personally thought its a cute little story about a girl trying to help her family, her father who has been changed by the war, her brother who's getting involved in the militia.
But, for some reason i couldn't feel the book. I am Lebanese, and i have lived through the civil war, but this book didn't really move me, or made me have goose bumps, or made me sad or happy.
Nothing.
Just another novel.
Practical if you want a small easy book to read, but don't expect it to move your senses.

Yet another fantastic book by Cecilia Ahren. I have read all of her books.
Her style is easy to read, especially for people whose mother tongue isn't English.
Very much like every Ahren book, this one made me cry, laugh and think.
If you want a great story, buy this book.

My least favorite Cecilia Ahren book.
I would only recommend it if you have already read all of her other books and got nothing else to read.

It's such a cute book. I recommend it to everyone who doesn't usually read.
The entire book is written in a very unique way: as letters, emails and text messages.
I recommended it to a friend who doesn't speak english too well, but because of the simplicity of the text and the unique letter style, she could understand the book.

It's an action packed book, very much like Dan's Brown's Da Vinci Code.
I am not a fan of such books, but it was nonetheless a nice read.
I would consider buying another Khoury novel!

It's the extraordinary story of a young boy's journey from his village in Southern Sudan to Ethiopia, Kenya and eventually to the USA.
It's funny, its sad.
It's realistic, pessimistic and optimistic.
It is compelling, fascinating and dramatic.
With every second page i read i had tears in my eyes and a knot in my throat.
I recommend it highly to everyone.

Winner of the 2008 Galaxy Book of the Year - what more could one say.
It's an amazing book, an amazing story about a girl and a woman who are married to a machist in Afghanistan.
It is "dense, rich, pressure-packed guide to enduring the unendurable."
And i found it even better than the Kite Runner (from the same author)

Rachel's Holiday

If someone knows addiction and alcoholism it is Marian Keys.
Again like every one of her books, Marian deals with a sensitive subject: Addictions and alcoholism.
It captures the moods and the thoughts of an alcoholic. Although i am not one, i could identify myself in the character.
Marian Keys knows what she is writing about, and she writes it in a funny, easy way, that nonetheless moves our senses.

Although it's a chic flic, this book is much more than a novel about romance. Maryan Keys deals with a very sensitive in each and every one of her books.
In this case she talks about women who are beaten up by their partners.
This book is funny and yet dramatic at some parts.
I loved it, and actually i loved all of maryan keys' books.
It's 'unputdownable'
