Kissinger's experiences as Secretary of State certainly are shown in his book. In particular, his fascination with power and the use of power in international diplomacy and politics. Indeed, 'power politics' is his major concern. Kissinger is the master of 'realpolitik'! The examples he discusses of 'leadership'
helps the reader understand, Kissinger's underlying concern about today's 'world order' and that is, that the world is completely 'leaderless'! Today's statesmen are second rate and unable to chart a course forward in a world that is multilateral and increasingly unstable. At 99 years, Henry Kissinger is still relevant and indeed, as he has been rightly described by former diplomat, Martin Indyk, the "Master of the Game." A great read and I recommend this book first to our leaders and to all interested about diplomacy and power politics.
