I think the book "Desert Flower", written by Waris Dirie is a great book because it shows the feelings and helplessness of a nomadic girl. They cannot do anything against circumcision except of running away from their home. Besides the story is the true stoy of Waris Dirie's life what makes the stoy such fascinating because she develops from a poor girl into an international model; not many girls have chances like this. I think with this book the author contributes to the fighting of FGM (female genitale mutilation) because many people do not know anything about it and by this book they get to know the horrible details about this procedure.
