As Denise Cory Blake, the teller of tales, the weaver of words, both poetic, and otherwise, she unravelled the intricate stories' web, page by page, drawing her unsuspecting readers into the wonder of her imagination as she created each novel. Each, is different, and diverse in its origins and its concepts. They come from a mind which is vibrant, eager, as in the author's youth, for despite her advancing years, she still considers herself a mischievous child at heart. From this, has come; - 'Sailor, Sailor', a tale of WW2, based loosely on her parents' war time experiences, 'The Writing On the Wall', set in WAY/1 about three brothers, and then, this, her favourite- Guy De Tournet, Child of Revolution, Son of France'. The storyline has been with the author for years, capturing her attention, demanding to be written. A French man, it could be none other, he follows Bonaparte into the frozen wastes of 1812 Russia where he finds love amongst the Cossacks. Yet, this is far more than just a love story. On a more mundane note, the author scribbled away in the south west of England, not far from the glorious Devon beaches, with the smell of the sea in her nostrils, the spray on her face.
Autorenporträt
