This edited collection provides an in-depth examination of the education system, schooling, and teacher education in Brunei Darussalam in the context of globalization and reform. The accounts contained within this book present analyses and rich discussion of Brunei Darussalam's historical, social, political, and cultural contexts that shape and inform its education system and its development and major reforms. Phan Le Ha is Senior Professor in the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education, and Head of International and Comparative Education (ICE) at Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Phan is also affiliated with the Department of Educational Foundations, College of Education, University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA Asiyah Kumpoh is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Keith Wood is Professor in the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education at Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Rosmawijah Jawawi is Senior Assistant Professor in the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education at Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Hardimah Said is Lecturer in the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
