An ideal resource for childbirth educators, doctors, and nurses, as well as Spanish-speaking soon-to-be and new moms everywhere. Today, though breastfeeding is supported worldwide by UNESCO and most pediatricians and hospitals, many new mothers are still too easily persuaded to stop. With gorgeous photos and 20 terrific reasons why breastfeeding is best, this guide summarizes current research about the diseaseprotective and nurturing substances that breast milk alone supplies. It also stresses the deep physical-emotional bond that breastfeeding establishes between mother and child.
