It's moving day and Sukie is not a happy dog! She and her family are leaving the city to live in a place she's never seen - the country! To make matters worse, she will have to say goodbye to her friends and the neighborhood she's known all her life. Not even her best friend, Franklin Frog, can cheer her up. Sukie is scared of the dangers that lurk in the country like dog-eating bears, wild tornadoes, and the many possible dark holes she could fall in, to name a few. But never fear, Sukie, a highly imaginative dog, has a secret plan that will let her stay in the city she loves, and keep her far away from the scary countryside! Goodbye Sukie is a story about the power of imagination, and overcoming fear of the unknown. Creator Robert Eberz has illustrated over twenty-five children's books for both the trade and educational market, and was the licensed illustator for the Splat the Cat (I Can Read) series. Goodbye Sukie is book number one in the Sukie series, and with over thirty color illustrations, it is the perfect read-out-loud book.
