Patriotism and citizen activism have been declining in the United States since 9/11. At the same time, we citizens face political, ideological and cultural threats to our freedom. Produktbeschreibung
Patriotism and citizen activism have been declining in the United States since 9/11. At the same time, we citizens face political, ideological and cultural threats to our freedom. These threats are not only by foreign adversaries, but threats coming from within our own country. In this book the author has detailed these threats: an out-of-control federal government, regulations by millions of unelected bureaucrats, anti-American individuals, and radical organizations that work to divide us and transform our constitutional republic into a Marxist-socialist state. Why and how is this happening? Have apathy and fear of speaking out against the curtailments of our liberty settled into the American mind-set? If we expect to preserve our freedom, it is up to each of us to be willing to defend it as did the first American patriots in the American Revolution. Colleen Roberts profiles four people who are standing up for America and taking action. Their stories illustrate how constructive citizen activism that builds on the best of America is the antidote to the efforts underway to destroy our nation as we know it. These citizens are the "New Patriots". Suggestions for what you can do, a resources section, and a suggested reading list of books highlighting the finest aspects of America and Americans are included.
