With the birth of industrialization, franchising enabled organisations and businesses provide their products and services to other markets worldwide via licensed distributors and marketers. In recent times, information technology has facilitated franchising in businesses. This paper offers a critical analysis of the extent to which information technology (IT) systems has affected franchise management in businesses. It also provides review on how a prototype franchise management system was developed for a client, VipoLand Inc. with an appropriate conclusion and recommendations.
