Caren, a.k.a. Dindin, has always been interested in teaching the English language to non-English speakers. Her interest in teaching the English language and learning new languages emanated from her language mentors. For this reason, she pursued Bachelor of Secondary Education (Major in English), Master of Arts in English as a Second Language, and Doctor of Philosophy in Language Education to broaden her pedagogical knowledge and experience.Keeping her first approach as diffident, faint-hearted, and a dauntless risk taker, she has taught English to Filipinos, Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Thais, Malaysians, Bahrainis, Saudis, Egyptians, Tunisians, Omanis, Jordanians, Turks, Spaniards, and French to name a few. With her experience in teaching ESL and EFL learners, she believes that her book STARTERS TO FLUENGLISH is asure tool for English learners to get a good start towards fluency in their everyday speech.Currently, she is confident that working in the academe requires demonstrated ability to teach, motivate, and direct students while maintaining high interest and achievement. Driven by her enthusiasm and interest in language teaching and learning, she hopes for certainty, appropriation, commitment, and passion to construe her intentions.
