The inspiration for this book, 'Uncomplicating Artificial Intelligence: A Book for the Three Human Generations', was born out of family conversations, observing how the different generations managed to deal with technological changes and the speed with which they happened. This same observation was realised when one of the authors took part in courses at the University of California, Berkeley and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, with colleagues who were relatively accustomed to using new technologies but had very different comprehension skills. This guide steers clear of academic rigour, using a simple and practical structure to help those new to the world of AI. This book was mostly generated with the help of Artificial Intelligence as a structure and initial base text, and has undergone adjustments to the initial prompt and final draft, according to additional texts consulted by the authors and their previous academic and professional experience.
