Autorenporträt
Carl Edgecombe holds a Master's Degree in Vocational and Technical Education from the State University of New York. Following his graduation in 1999, he spent a year abroad - first in his volcano devastated homeland of Montserrat where he was asked to fill the position of Music Teacher. Later that year he had a brief stint working as a Support Specialist, serving students with special needs in Essex, England. Upon returning to the United States, he entered the world of College Residence Life where he discovered his passion for the field of Career Services. More than ten years later, he has matured into a respected Master Career Specialist and Workforce Development Practitioner. He has utilized his knowledge as a Global Career Development Facilitator; Licensed Federal Résumé Writer and Career Coach to educate and train populations in various arenas of Higher Education and American Job Centers. Carl has created and hosted presentations such as: 'Be Who You Are', and 'Re-Educate, Retire and Re-Invent Yourself' On the national level, he has blogged on career-related issues as well as co-wrote and facilitated: 'Reaching the Dream of Social Justice: Using Narrative, Systems, and Solution Focused Interventions in Career' (2009) 'Strategies for Providing Career Guidance to Students of Diverse Cultural Ethnic and International Backgrounds' (2011) at National Career Development Association (NCDA) conferences.
