In Colombia, Bullying has become a subject of national concern due to its negative connotations in the lives of thousands of children and teenagers all over the country. We could certainly affirm that this dysfunctional phenomenon goes beyond the scope of schools, thus becoming a socio-cultural problem. School violence also known as Bullying and Cyberbullying is a problem that affects the life of pupils in their schools, and has become a matter of great concern in the Caribbean Region of Colombia, and likewise, has become an obstacle for a peaceful coexistence in the schools of the Department of Atlántico. The proposed area of research falls within the context of human rights, and along with international and national standards focuses on the protection of the rights of children, making emphasis in the necessity of good and human government practices by the Colombian State fighting against the challenges of today's globalizing society.
