The book is a story about relationships, social issues and nature written in poetic verse, where each poem conjures up a story for the reader. It was written, revised and reviewed over 8 years and finally edited in its 9th year. It is now 10 years since this work has been evolving and has to be shared with as many people as possible in relationship struggles, people in love or just families navigating life amidst the troubles we find ourselves in today. My book is about what emotions were felt in three distinct chapters in my life, and by sharing it with the world I hope that I can help anyone going through a tough stage or even a hopeful stage in their life. The final chapter sets us free to become that free spirit, that happy person that we can only reach by introspection, reflection and acceptance.

Autorenporträt
Carrie Moon, born Carolyn nee Yon, became a Petersen when she married Gavin Paul Petersen. They were divorced after being together for about six years, reconciled, and lived together for another almost twenty-four years. He died three and a half years later, on Carrie Moon's birthday, the 01st of January. They have two adult sons and no grandchildren. Carrie Moon resides in Cape Town South Africa and started writing poetry seriously in 2010 when facing an open-heart surgery. She taught in Cape Town and Kwa-Zulu Natal, tutored learners up to matric level and even taught English as a foreign language. She went on early retirement to have her surgery, but was called back into teaching full time for a further six years and later four months. She is now recently retired, for the third time. Her writer's name, Carrie Moon, has a love story behind it - when she and her husband Gavin met, because she had such large hazel- green eyes, he would affectionately refer to her as "Carrie with the full moon eyes", "therefore it just seemed such a fitting name for my poetic persona".
