Present century, nanophosphors have been extensively investigated during the last decade due to their potential application for various high-performance displays and devices. These act as a strategic component in almost all displays systems. The future displays devices and technologies development also depends on the inorganic sol-gel nanophosphors materials. The sol-gel powders produced from RE3+ ions doping in suitable quantities could result in high-fluorescence quantum yields to enhance the emission efficiency of the phosphor materials. Charge compensation by Li+ co-doping in the rare earth doped phosphors is one of the most attractive and convenient tools to improve their brightness with high colour purity. So our sole attention is to enhance the brightness of nanocomposites powder phosphors; the book describes the details of preparation and PL properties of rare earth ions (RE3+=Tb3+, Eu3+ and Ce3+) and charge compensation by Li+ as co-dopant in Zn2SiO4. Also a few transition metal ions such as (TM3+/2+=Cr3+, Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+ and Cu2+) ions have been considered as dopants in Zn2SiO4 sol-gel nanopowder phosphors as newly synthesized materials in our laboratory.
