Introduction and Statement of the Problem A general word describing a category of over 100 diseases is arthritis. It's all about our joints - the positions where muscles, such as wrists, elbows, or toes, connect. But other connective tissues and organs, including the skin, can also affect some other forms of arthritis. Degenerative arthritis, inflammatory arthritis, infectious arthritis, and metabolic arthritis are various types of arthritis. An example of inflammatory arthritis is rheumatoid arthritis.
