This is an important study to evaluate the effect of different fibers on Mortar from the viewpoint of mechanical performance in normal as well as different environmental conditions for researchers, civil engineers, industrialists and academicians. For this purpose, four fibers (Carbon fiber, Steel fiber, Glass fiber, Polyester fiber) and four types of environmental condition (Direct alkaline effect, after 28 days alkaline effect, Acidic effect, High-temperature effect) were considered for main discussion. In this book, the behavior of cement-based mortars reinforced with different fibers are described in detail from literature survey and experimental work. The main aim of this study to give the idea on the performance of cement-based fiber reinforced mortars in different severe exposures to utilize it at appropriate field. Most of the harden properties like compressive strength, tensile strength, shear strength, flexural strength, impact strength checked out in a various environmental condition which gives better performance compared to the plain mortar. This book provides basic guidelines to extend the research in the field of applications of fibers in construction.
