Emerging Perspectives on the Twenty-First Century Nigerian Novel is a great attempt at responding to the critical requirements in the unfolding tradition of novel writing in Nigeria. This volume collates ideas; theoretical and critical positions that we hope will generate and further stir debates at enriching the corpus of the Nigerian novel. The essays, diverse in nature and treatment, centre on some emerging issues on twenty-first-century Nigerian novels. Their enduring essential unity however lies on their utilitarian values: they are intended to inform, to raise questions, to debate fresh motifs in contemporary Nigerian novels, and to arouse the readers reflection on some ontological features of the growing field of Nigerian fiction - Ayobami Kehinde University of Ibadan (Nigeria)
