But she is told to stay home because she is too little. One day Penny sneaks onto a fire truck when nobody is looking. Does Penny have what it takes to be a real fire dog on her first adventure? All proceeds from this book are donated to The Jason Racz Memorial Foundation. For each book purchased, the Foundation will be donating a copy to various Children's Hospitals and Elementary Schools. The Jason Racz Memorial Foundation currently raises money to help support Lethbridge Firefighters and EMS and their dependents by providing them with scholarships for post secondary education. In the future we hope to expand to support all of Alberta Firefighters and EMS.
Autorenporträt
Jason Racz was the brother to Chris Cochand the author. Jason was a firefighter with the Lethbridge Fire Department in Lethbridge, AB and Penny was his Beagle and best friend. Jason lost his life tragically in 2017 and this story was written to remember what we loved about him the most. Jason had a huge heart, selfless compassion and a contagious laugh. He wanted to be a firefighter out of a deep desire to help others and had to work twice as hard as everyone else to get there. He is still deeply loved and missed by all of his family and brothers and sisters in uniform. Chris Cochand lives on a farm in Bradner, BC with his beautiful bride and four young children along with a menagerie of horses, chickens, ducks, bees and a goat named Pearl.
