Chris Dinesen Rogers was born in the suburban Chicago area. Acting on her love for the outdoors and conservation, she volunteered with Brookfield Zoo and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Chris has worked with the US Forest Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Nature Conservancy. She and her husband, Norm, continued volunteering for environmental causes with the National Park Service at Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. In 2000, Chris and Norm were awarded the state of Kentucky Colonel honor for their work in restoring parts of Mammoth Cave. In 2002, Chris began her own art business, Weborg Lodge Studio. Creativity continues to be a driving force with her. Chris is now a freelance writer, promoting conservation and health education.
