A powerful and moving collection of poems, songs and essay, Words for Gaza masterfully humanizes the often abstract and dehumanized discourse surrounding the Gaza conflict. A powerful and moving collection of poems, songs and essay, Words for Gaza masterfully humanizes the often abstract and dehumanized discourse surrounding the Gaza conflict. These words skillfully weave into one tapestry with no jarring conflict: a plea for peaceful action, a cry for love and understanding, a historical look back, and a tribute to the indomitable spirit of the people of Gaza. Not many works on this subject are able to accomplish all this together. This collection encourages readers to look beyond political narratives and recognize the shared humanity that connects us all. For anyone seeking to understand the human cost of the Gaza conflict and the broader implications of territorial and religious disputes worldwide, this collection is a must-read. Words for Gaza will remain with you and haunt you. "I was doing nothing, and now I am nothing, I played with my ball, and now I am wrapped in a shawl." It serves as a poignant reminder that empathy and understanding are crucial steps towards achieving peace and reconciliation. Their balanced words, "O Palestine, O Israel, I weep for you both," will stay with you.

Autorenporträt
Although they were born in different countries (India and Uganda), Christopher and Rossini met in high school. They had a lot of interests in common, but their love of writing cemented their friendship and they have continued their partnership for over 50 years. They have since travelled and lived in different places separately, but together they have written hundreds of songs, poems, books and essays on various subjects. Though they have never published their collection, the current events in Gaza prompted them to write about the situation and do so.
