I have been a writer at heart since a very young age, always eager to tell stories or devour those of others, but in 2013 I myself became a mother, and for the first time was introduced to all the statistical facts about reading from a young age and being read to. Even though I am not a professor or a highly qualified learned pupil, I am a mother, and I was once a child, and that is why my story so simple and yet so meaningful to young minds, is just right. I found myself with a lot of free time waiting for my son to be born, and I felt inspired to write him a range of stories with all the lessons I so badly wanted to teach him, and now I'm ready to share them with the world. I was born in South Africa and so was my son, but I have lived on almost every continent in the world, and I know that all mothers want the same thing: the well being of their most precious possession. I now live with my husband and son in the United States and I see clearly the need for more children's books and a wider distribution thereof, education after all is our future and you can't build a house without the proper foundation: I would like to think that my book will one day be the foundation to at least one little minds future education.
