If anyone has ever started out with a dream to cruise the Great Loop of the U.S. clueless and "crewless" it was me! I needed a boat. After a search I saw her wave! Younger than me by 40 years, she had some hidden issues! On our first date I was hooked...and towed in. Second date, the same. Third date, well, let's just say she was "playing hard to get...started" and our new relationship was already listing to port. However, my resolve was to make it work and soon we were off on our "Great Adventure." We finally did it and here's our story. The most wonderful, heartfelt memories that all became the epitome of her name... "Dream Seeker!" I hope you enjoy reading our story as much as we enjoyed reflecting upon and logging this grand experience! From "Captain Clint's Log."

Autorenporträt
Where do old industrial arts professors go after they retire from Clemson University, South Carolina? After over 36 years as a University professor sitting behind a desk or in front of a classroom, I knew it was time for a change. I never dreamed that cruising the Great Loop would be in those plans. This is my story of how I ended up on a 34' trawler, Dream Seeker, discovering the Great Loop, the fantastic places, and the wonderful people that I had the opportunity to meet on this journey. After completing the Great Loop and moving back to Texas, I would have to explain too many that the Great Loop was not the other great loop, Interstate 610 around Houston. It is hard to believe that I actually completed this adventure, and to many of my friends and family, they have a hard time believing it as well. To my granddaughter Maylin and my grandson Lander, don't ever let time pass you by, live life to the fullest, travel, make new friends, and never let anyone tell you that you can't fulfill your dreams.
