Not long after Lennon and Harvest Bledsoe devote their lives to one another, a weekend getaway turns near fatal. Harvest barely escapes with her life, being brutally raped and beaten at the resort where they are staying. Most couples would do their best to heal and move forward, but that will prove to be an impossible task; since Harvest's rape was committed by a high-ranking cult member who knew better than to let her get away and risk the groups exposure. The new agenda for the group is making sure she and Lennon keep their mouths shut. As if the rape wasn't tragic enough, finding out about the baby adds a new mountain of issues and questions, putting the Bledsoe's marriage through the ringer! After the birth of baby Seth Elliot, the family begins to settle into a normal family life, free from looking over their shoulders and watching their backs. Even when they find out that their baby is the son of a monster, they are determined to live a good, healthy, and happy life. Unfortunately, the group is smart, plentiful in members, holds a serious grudge and above all... patient. They have been waiting for this moment and at the young age of fifteen, Seth is lured in, drugged, and abducted by two members of the group living right in his neighborhood. Seth's identity is changed and he is taken away from all he knows, to another country, to be taught the beliefs and ways of this world -dominating, off the grid group, his new family. After the group realized that Harvest got away, Seth's biological father was tortured and killed at the hands of the group. You mess up, you pay. Seth's abduction is satisfying the need to avenge the loss of the group's beloved member and gives his son a chance to take his place and become the valuable member he used to be. With no other choice, Seth embraces the life of a group member and fulfills missions needed to climb the ranks and live the good life. He has never once forgotten his mom and dad or sisters but knows he must do what must be done. On a mission in South Texas, Seth sees his family for the first time in years at a college orientation for his younger sister and that's when the switch flipped and he began to devise a plan that would allow him to walk away from his life with the group and back to life with the only family who has ever really loved him. Of course...it's risky and getting caught means paying the same price his biological father paid for his mistake. Is it worth it? Seth desperately tries not to dwell on that question for too long and sets his sights on seeing his family and friends that were left in shambles when he went missing. As they say, all good things must come to an end. A short-lived reunion with his loved ones helped rebuild strained relationships, embracing a new, fulfilling faith and an unborn child that Seth won't live to see. Knowing he has been caught and desperate to keep his loved ones out of harm's way, Seth surrenders to his leader to pay for his sins. Sins he never should have had to commit. Sins that weren't his fault. He was conceived out of a monstrous act that forced him to live a horrendous life, a soulless existence that lacked hope, but as he lays dying for the mistakes and sins of others, he is thankful for his brief time with the only people that made it worth it. It was and will forever be...worth it!
