Jennifer D. McNeill, CSM, entered the US Army on April 4, 1976. She retired in October 2000, 24 years later. As a Command Sergeant Major her last assignment was the Troop Command Sergeant Major, Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia. During her military service, she was the recipient of numerous military achievement awards for leadership. She served the military in both the continental United States and overseas. Upon military retirement, Mrs. McNeill accepted a position as Director for Patient Services at the College of Dental Medicine, Augusta University. She retired from that position in September 2015. Additionally, in April 2017, she resigned as an area chair with the School of Business and associate faculty member with the University of Phoenix, Augusta, Georgia campus. During her military and post-military career, Jennifer completed her undergrad degree and two master's degrees from Webster and Troy State Universities. She has over thirty years of experience serving in numerous leadership positions mentoring and guiding both soldiers and pre-doctoral students as they matriculated through their respective education or career goals. Today Jennifer enjoys the same leadership activities as a Toastmaster and health fitness advocate. Jennifer has continued to practice and promote physical activity. In her quest to continue to advocate for healthy living, one year following her last retirement, she earned her Walk15 certification as a walk leader. Recently she added ASFA, Group Fitness Leader certification to her portfolio. Using social media sites such as Facebook groups like Women Veterans Keeping It Moving and an Instagram account, @StripesStrengthandLipstick, she continues to motivate and encourage others to move their bodies. Mrs. McNeill is also a member of two local Toastmasters Club, where she enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience and observing others' growth. She is the current president of one of her clubs and the immediate past president in the other. As a Toastmaster, she has served in numerous club leadership roles. This year (2020), you can add her appointment as Toastmaster International Area E53 Director to her repertoire. She has a blog on her site, sharing her journey as a Toastmaster Area Director. Today, she has accomplished another goal in an already busy life, writing this book, "Maneuvering Through Life's Challenges, Choices, and Change." Jennifer and her husband reside in Augusta, Georgia. They are active bowlers and are members of three bowling leagues. Additionally, they enjoy attending all kinds of automobile, motorcycle, and truck racing events. As retirees, they have incorporated their love of RVing with their bowling and racing activities. Additionally, they are international travelers. Last year they vacationed with family, visiting Havana, Cuba, and Cape Town, South Africa. CSM McNeill (Retired) is also the author of "Stripes Strength and Lipstick."
