I have always believed that the strength of a great nation and its citizens is how well such a place takes care of its marginalized, lesser known and sometimes invisible minorities. In our life journey we grow and learn to be accepting and tolerant of people who have beliefs different than our own. My novel is a nostalgic cry to pull back the oppressive layers heaped on us since childhood and to reveal the truth about how we really feel about our neighbours and the steps we must take to live in peace with people we don't understand or have learned to trust.

Autorenporträt
I have previously written a novel; THE FALLING SKY, which targets readers with a flare for romance, philosophy and the urge to escape the existential trappings of everyday life. My latest book, THE GREAT PLAGUE, revolves around the protagonist J, the hapless anti-hero who is caught between the netherworld of big government's self-interest and the ordinary citizen who must cope and survive in an increasingly paranoid world of power politics and the onslaught of contaminated ideas that invade us like a plague. The country of Kanidu could be any country where the spirit of its citizens is quashed by the interests of a myopic citizenry that believes in the capitalist illusion that we shall be taken care of by the corporate captains of industry and the government. I live in Mississauga with my son Angelo who I teach to question everything and to believe in himself above all institutions.
