Studies were conducted on screening and management of paddy, maize and sorghum genotypes against Rhyzopertha dominica and the results showed that there is gradual increase in per cent weight loss with increase in storage period which ranged from 0.83 to 24.67 in paddy, 1.08 to 16.22 in maize and 0.67 to 20.05 in sorghum. In paddy RNR 2465, Samba Mahsuri, in maize DHM 111, DHM 117, GK 3076 and in sorghum SPV 462, CSV 15 and M 35-1 have maintained the minimum germination standards for a period of 60, 30 and 60 days respectively. In paddy, maximum population build up of R. dominica was found in Improved Samba Mahsuri and minimum in RNR 2645, in maize minimum population build up was noticed inDHM 117 and maximum in cv. GK 3076, in sorghum minimum population build up was recorded in CSH 16 while maximum in cv SPV 462 after 180 days of storage respectively. The mortality of R. dominica with various grain protectants has shown that in paddy the mortality of R. dominica is low compared to maize and sorghum.
