Behold, the Man: the words uttered by Pontius Pilate after he had Jesus scourged and mocked by his soldiers. This book contains poems by people who "beheld" Jesus, who had some contact with Him, be it brief and indirect, or an extended relationship. The experiences are usually positive, though not in every instance, and are told from the perspective of minutes or decades after the meeting. The poems follow along the life and teachings of Jesus, from His birth to resurrection. The author was born in Camden, N.J. in 1962, from parents that moved there from Puerto Rico in the 1950s. He received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Rutgers University in Camden, N.J. After working at a school for children with developmental disabilities for several years, He attended Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY, where he received a master's degree and then a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He currently practices clinical psychology in upstate NY.
