It provides a large part of increasing demand for animal protein, cash income and can create employment opportunities for the people of Bangladesh, because of the short rearing period of their commercials (30 or 35 days) and possibility of having quick financial maximum with minimum expense. Although commercial poultry farming in Bangladesh has been developing rapidly since 1980, at the same time the demand of poultry feed is increased day by day with the significant increase of poultry farming during the last two decades (Huque, 2001). But scarcity of poultry feed is the most burning issue for the development of this sector. On the other hand, high feed cost also affecting the growth, especially the small-scale poultry farming in the country, because feed cost alone accounts for 65-75% of the total costs of poultry egg and meat production (McNab, 1999). Cereals are the worldwide the most important cultivated crops and account for the main source of energy and protein in human and domesticated animal diets (Rajaram, 1995).
