A number of methods are available to control corrosion of materials. The use of inhibitors is one of the simplest and practical methods generally employed to control corrosion of steel and zinc. Corrosion inhibitors are the chemicals that interact either physically or chemically with a metal surface or the environment to which the metal surface is exposed. Inhibitors are used in a wide range of applications such as oil pipe lines, central heating systems, industrial water cooling systems, acid pickling and metal extraction plants. it also added to coolant, fuels, hydraulic fluids, boiler water and etc.
