The distraction process involves optimal patient attention and emotional participation. As pediatric dentists, we have to try to encourage the learning of appropriate behaviors, to teach new ones, and to discourage the use of others which impedes treatment. Implementing the same in a professional and non- litigious provoking manner, forms the basis of this dissertation.Audiovisual technology, video modeling, smartphones, game applications, and appropriate strategies such as open and interactive communication in dentistry can be applied to support their behavior management.
