Amer Al-Masaeid has lived and taught linguistics in places as diverse as the homeland Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Canada. He has consulted on language planning issues for the print, broadcast media and articles on sociolinguistics, language planning, language and ideology. He is currently a staff member at King Saud University,Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
