The objective of this study was to determine the impact of age, sex area and the role of meteorological factors in the prevalence of parasitosis in day care centers of Lahore, Pakistan. The overall prevalence among children at day care centers of Lahore was found 32%. Socio- economic status of society is important element for the distribution of intestinal parasites in urban areas of Pakistan. By promote health standards and controlling the carriers or vector, most countries have successfully reduced the rates of infestation. However, in developing countries geographic, socio-economic factors and natural calamity enhance the intestinal parasitosis infection as a major health issue.
