This work explores the status of Literature in secondary schools of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (O.E.C.S.). Most students claimed a love for literaure, but they opt not to choose the subject because of career options, and the subject choices offered at secondary schools. Teachers also stated a love for the subject and identified Poetry as the most difficult genre to teach. Students also identified poetry as the most difficult of the genres, and drama as the most interesting.
