Autorenporträt
Case Western Reserve University: Squire Valleevue and Valley Ridge Farms was written by current farm director Ana B. Locci and current farm horticulturist Chris Bond. The photographs herein tell the story of each farm's respective evolution from gentleman's hobby farms, to the field station for Case Western Reserve University's biological and ecological research, and onto its current initiatives of sustainability and environmentally responsible land stewardship. These historical images, some of which are over a century old, were culled from a variety of sources: the university's and the farm's archival material, the Western Reserve Historical Society, the generosity of the living heirs of the original occupants, as well as from the heirs of those who helped to work these farms in their heyday.
