The book "Research in the field of social economy. Topics, actual tendencies and perspectives of advanced fundamental and academic research regarding the social economy" aims at gathering as many theoretical points as possible, while exemplifying them with illustrative study cases and give an extensive view on topics, tendencies and perspectives in three fields. While being controversial, mostly in terms of theory, to discuss social economy, social enterprises and social entrepreneurship, it is highly important to progress in research as the world nowadays develops an increasing necessity for these fields. In the actual context, we cannot exclude either one of these three concepts from a competitive economic environment or from a problem-solving approach to current issues. The book emerged from the intensive research supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the project 14-SEE-PC-RO TIMISOA01 "Transnational cooperation for research consolidation through knowledge and innovation transfer - KnowReset" co-funded from the EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 - Inter-institutional cooperation projects, Contract no. 2/21/07.2014.
