Spiritual intelligence refers to the ability to understand one-self and others. People with high SI have clarity of purpose and a shared vision. Spiritual intelligence contributes to enhanced work performance. Spiritual intelligence makes businesses more responsible, caring and also successful. Self-monitoring refers to an individual's ability to adjust his/her behaviour to external, situational factors. Empirical research in the area of spiritual intelligence and self-monitoring is scarce. An attempt has been made to identify the relationship, if any, among spiritual intelligence, self-monitoring and work performance with special reference to software professionals.
