Processes involve in development projects need to be systematically plan, monitor and control to ensure the success of the projects. Poor management of project processes lead to project failure, such as budget overrun, overdue in delivery date and poor product quality that will have significant impact to the project. Capability Maturity Model Integration or CMMI, is one of the process improvement model that could be implemented to manage processes in project development. CMMI model provides maturity level rating to an organization on how well the processes are managed, defined, quantitatively managed or optimized. The model had also populated project processes into four main categories, which are project management, process management, engineering and support process areas. This book, therefore, provide an insight on Capability Maturity Model Integration model and how it can be implemented to manage project key performance indicators which involve project budget, quality and delivery, as well as minimizing the risk. A case study had been included and the results help to guide project owners or project managers in development project organization.
