Autorenporträt
Torn is Applewhite's debut novel, and the reason she's been trading corporate technology for the fictional pen. Barbadian born, she now lives in Toronto with her husband and daughter, where she relies on The Barefoot Contessa and Jamie Oliver to cure her shortcomings in the kitchen. Her one-woman yoga practice keeps her from slouching over her writing desk.
