Autorenporträt
Anil Jain has studied the natural gas scenario in India with a focus on the evolving policy framework. He is a member of the Indian Administrative Service, the federal civil service of India. He holds a Bachelors Degree with Honours in Economics, an MBA in Marketing, and a Diploma from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. He has over two decades of administrative experience both at field and policy formulation levels. He has held senior positions in the provincial and federal Governments of India in the Ministries of Agriculture, Mining, Revenue and Petroleum & Natural Gas. During 2003 to 2008, as Director and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas of the Government of India, he piloted a programme of international cooperation in the Indian petroleum exploration sector. He has been closely associated with the development of the natural gas sector (including award of acreages, development of discoveries, pricing and distribution) and a competitive market.
