Produktbeschreibung
Asava-arishta are considered to be one of the most valuable therapeutics in Ayurvedic system of medicines. The enhanced therapeutic activity of these formulations is due to the microbial biotransformation of herbal extracts during the fermentation process. However, there are fair chances of it getting contaminated during manufacturing, fermentation and storage rather than having enhanced therapeutic effect. Thus it becomes essential to have a quality check on the formulation as a whole and also on the main phytoconstituents responsible for the activity of the product. This project aims to develop and validate an analytical method for simultaneous determination of three phytoconstituents viz. withaferin A, gallic acid and ephedrine in different marketed Balarishta formulations. It also aims to standardize and evaluate the stability profile of Balarishta formulations and generate a comparative data.
