This book discusses one of the most powerful tools ofSoviet propaganda - "political" caricatures, whichwere published in the official Soviet newspaperPravda. The main focus of the work is thestereotypical image of Israel in Soviet caricature aswell as the most important methods of visualizing theenemy and significant changes in the depiction of the"Zionist state" during the 40-years period ofSoviet-Israeli political confrontation. The book alsoaims to describe the main themes of anti-Israelicaricatures and to answer the question whether or notantisemitic motifs were used in those drawings.
