Aaron Veselenak, a native of Rogers City, Michigan, now lives in nearby Ocqueoc Township. As a lover of nature and history, Veselenak often combines the subjects in his writing. Veselenak is a K-12 substitute teacher and has been a house painter for over three decades. He holds a master's degree in political science and taught American government and history at Alpena (Mich.) Community College for 25 years. The author has written several historical articles that have been published in various periodicals. He previously published Swamp Rattler: Facts, History and Status of Michigan's Sole Venomous Serpent.
